Trauma is real but I've coping

Before I go further with my thoughts, I would first like to add the real definition of "Trauma". It means a deeply distressing or disturbing experience.

Some of you may know I experienced a traumatic experience that really had me in a state of shock. If you know who or what I am about then you know I seek to spread love and light throughout every avenue in my career and in life. I am a personality, influencer, a host and interviewer. A lot of people tell me they love my energy and my transparency. I just knew no one wants to hear about the sad influencer or sad personality.

But after this experience, I felt I was the Debbie downer and this transitional period in my life had me feeling like there was nothing else inspirational about me. Thankfully, that's not true. Thankfully even if you are always the positive person in someone else's life doesn't mean you can't be human too.

You are allowed to think the negative thoughts, but ultimately you are also responsible creating new and happier thoughts.

Here's somethings that helped me through a tough time and I hope it helps you too.

I was able to sit with my thoughts and feelings for a while without the worldly interruptions. I admitted firsthand I wasn't okay but repeatedly mentioned I would be okay to those I trusted with that information. For those who know me on a more intimate level, they checked on me, sent me encouragement and love from a far and some offered time for me to heal. I wrote when I couldn't sleep, I cried, and I listened to songs and different videos to help me through. I looked back at all the good memories and read encouraging words from those who've showed love over the years.

I hope you enjoy these resources that I have gathered. I love you and Take Care of yourself out there!

Love,

ThePolishedLady
