Meet Kelah McKee
The woman behind the mic

Kelah Mckee is an Indianapolis native who is passionate about making a positive impact throughway of storytelling and interviews. Mckee began at an early age finding her love for journalism. After her traumatic bullying situation during her college experience, Mckee came home to attend Ivy Tech community college. She became more active by creating programs to better serve the students, volunteered her time for community service opportunities and attended multiple galas. Over time Mckee built a plethora of relationships which she now refers to as her "Polished People Tribe". Mckee worked for Radio One in the Promotions department for five years and then went on to work for a local magazine company for two years after that. In April of 2023, Mckee became a full time entrepreneur for her independent media company, ThePolishedLady LLC.

Mckee still love to be in the community, spending time with her son, ThePolishedPrince, patronizing and teach others how to support black owned businesses and eat as much ice cream as she can in her free time.
