Hey Hey #PolishedPeople,
It's your girl, ThePolishedLady and I wanted to reflect with you about the 17th annual Champions of Diversity Awards. I had the pleasure of attending the awards in a working capacity. I did live coverage for the event on the red carpet that evening. I always knew I wanted a life in media and in 2016 when I went to my first Champions of Diversity Awards Gala all I could think about is look at all these black people dressed up nice and winning awards for the things they loved.
Talk about elevation to one year, just be an attendee and the next couple years down the road get invited personally by the President and CEO of the Recorder Media Group to provide your services to a well known and respected awards gala.
