If you answered "No" you for sure missed out but I got you on the recap. Indianapolis Very Own Anthony Sims Jr. put on his own event called #NaptownRumble at Arsenal Tech High School on Dec.9th 2023. Sims said " He wasn't feeling fulfilled in LA because he wasn't giving back to his hometown."
This was my first boxing match to report from and watch. I was so thrilled to see so many youth and community leaders all in one location to support clean, fun, & good entertainment. The Indiana Black Expo's Performing arts academy students were in the building capturing footage of the event and the Moguls in the making podcast were capturing live interviews.
Before the fights began, Tremanye Horne sang the National Anthem and then Dj Butta resumed with the 70's groove music. The first two fights that entered the ring had first round KO's. The third fight of the evening lasted all four rounds which judges made a uniamous decision to make Pablichiz Sanchez as the winner. Then the ultimate fight between Brandon Johnson and KJ Jackson took place. This was a tough fight to watch because both competitiors were so good. You can see below where I interviewed each boxer and asked them their thoughts on the fight.
Here's a Mini Gallery of some of the PolishedPeople I saw at Naptown Rumble:
