I went to Bad Girl Brunch in Ohio

What's going on It's your girl, #ThePolishedLady & If you are new here then welcome.

I am your media specialist showing you all things Black entrepreneurs and black people do that are dope and positive. I am from Indianapolis, IN and I do love to show you all the things to do in my city when I am here. If I am not doing those two things I am probably hosting events, traveling and asking people questions or being a #CEOMOMMY to my son, ThePolishedPrince.

Now that I have gotten introductions out of the way, I can talk about my journey to Cincinnati,Ohio with my business bestie, Meshia. We traveled 2hrs away to network at the Bad Girl Brunch in Cincinnati,Ohio. As businesses owners we both chatted about the importance of expanding outside of our market and using new opportunities to expose our businesses to potential clientele.

Besides exposing ourselves to new environment, we greeted all the ladies at our table. Collected businesses cards, gave my elevator pitch to at least 10 people there and then I showed them my value proposition. Enjoyed the music, brunch and vibing out with other bosses in a relaxed setting. I learned about the businesses that the Ohio community had to offer and how I could connect them to my current network.

3 things to do while networking out of town:

1. Eat first! You can't be networking on an empty stomach leaving you hangry. Yes, hangry is a thing.

2. Find a way to connect long term whether it be social media, getting their contact info or passing along a business card with tips on the backside.

3. Get a photo or video to remember the beauty in the place you once visited. Share with others to let them know there's other beauties to be discover than the ones we already know of.
