I'm a fan of Beyonce again: Why you should go see Renaissance : A Film by Beyonce...

Greetings #PolishedPeople , it's your girl ThePolishedLady checking in again and let's discuss how I became a fan of Beyonce again. So BeyHivers be gentle with me as you read this. If you have not gone but want an honest review from the perspective of a not so big super fan then this is the blog for you.

I always enjoyed Beyonce music when she was with Destiny Child and even got her 'Dangerously in Love cd when I was in the third grade. In 2013, Beyonce dropped her fifth album titled "Beyonce". In 2013, I was just graduating from high school and my way to college. That album was too vulgar from what I am use to hearing her sing about. I like the girl gang empowerment music not the Freaky side of Mrs.Carter. So, I stopped listening to her full album when they would drop and hear a song or two on the radio but that's it.

That's a lot of music I've missed out on and when the Renaissance tour dates came I wasn't eagar to go to a concert. What I will say that I have to commend Beyonce and her team on is the campaigns and the press that went out before the tour started. She had the entire world dressed in chrome or silver to attend her Renaissance concert.

Now back to the Renaissance film:

My sisters Aireal ,China and Brother Teezy were all going to see the movie and I just bought a ticket to suprise them and be with my people. When I enter the movie theatre, it felt nostagic because I haven't been to the movies in so long. The ticket scanner scanned my ticket and gave me a mini Renaissance poster. Now I'm looking around and I am seeing all the chromed out fits people are wearing in support to see the film. To get some inspiration on what to wear to go see the film, watch my tiktok here.

Here's a picture of the crew: as you see Aireal is dressed in her silver as she should, Brother Teezy in his signature all black combo and China wearing her Beyonce Renaissance shirt underneath her adidas jacket.

One of the things that made me a Beyonce fan again is seeing the story of her process to production. All little things that could have definitely made Beyonce say she's done ; she kept saying she has to continue to open the door for the next to come. It was apparent how her childhood, her hometown and her mentors played a huge role in her career. Seeing that side of her and her being in dance practices with Blue Ivy about how she's a mother first and everything else comes after that. She said "The Beyhive" are a culture not just a group of fans. That's something I would like the #PolishedPeopleTribe to grow to.

My biggest takeaway: Be all the things you want : Be a mother, get the bag, spend Time with those you love and Enjoy your moments. I asked my sister, Aireal her biggest takaways and she had a lot of good ones but one that I felt I had to share is "It's ok to seek quiet and pause to find yourself even after high moments of joy or interaction."

If you've already seen the film please share what was your favorite part or biggest takeaway from the film. I hope you enjoyed this blog and I'll talk to you soon.

Love, Light & Beyonce,
