Do you have the symptoms Laziness ? Not wanting to give proper maintenance to your business ? You might not know it but if you said yes to the two questions above then you are experiencing Entrepreneur's funk. Do not panic, it happens sometimes but it's important to remember you must fight the funk. I'm not talking about the funkadelic , American funk rock band either.
First, I would like to share what I have been experiencing so you understand we all go through a rough patch. So as you know Covid still has a lot of us laid off and/or furloughed, finances are becoming a big burden. Some of us saved but began to dig into our savings to keep up with bills and necessary items that help maintain a household.
We are drained from thinking about it. Then a lot of businesses are failing around us during this pandemic from big ones to the small ones.
My car start having problems in March and has yet to recover. So, I am slow on shipping or knowing, I can't make it to the post office when I want to is a bummer. I have let my shipping get pass 3-5 business days or sike myself out of a sale. Truth is your customers are your customers because you provide a service or item they need, so quit doubting it. Sometimes, things happen and it's uncontrollable, keep your focus on what you can control.
Second, I have been sharing with my close family and friends things that have had me down and out and they are so supportive and proud that I was one honest with myself and two brave enough to share my struggles. The more open I became the less weight I felt holding me down. I felt like stopped hiding my not so pretty part which actually made me stronger.
Third, I looked for inspiration. I started praying more. I also hung around women who are professionals and they were uberly excited to work on their brand which pushed my drive to go higher. I noted their written patterns and I transformed them for it to fit with me and my business. These three things got back motivated to get what's mine.
I hope this blog will help you when you face a run in with Entreprenuer's funk .
