Healing is Happening Here...

Updated: Jul 6, 2020

As you guys know I have be on a mini- road trip vacation from Indy to Florida, a 15 hour drive that left me with a lot of time to think. Think about what you ask ? I am thinking about the reasons I have been blessed or started my healing process. It has a lot to do with my son. When I first found out that I was going to be a mother I told his father I didn't want to share the news with our family and friends. Mainly, because I had a rough relationship with my mother and I firgured with my own child I can shield him, keep him safe by allowing his new days on this earth to be spent with his mother and father.

Plan didn't work out that way but I am thankful. The day I told my mom I was pregnant my sister found out too; those two individuals have been triggers for me my whole life. I was awaiting my sister's negative remarks but instead she said that the baby was a blessing that he could bring us closer together and wouldn't you know it , Waalid did !

For about a year and a half, I have watch on facebook my mother and sister go on trip after trip without inviting me or coming up with the excuse of my job. Thanks to time & COVID-19 shut downs the call finally came, my sister invited Waalid and I to go on vacation with her and I said YES!!!! On this trip unlike any other time our family have been in the same room with each other, we laughed, we ate food and we shared a moment by being together on the beach to watch the sun rise. It kind of felt like a slice of heaven like all I could do in my head was thank God for allowing me to see that moment. Thank him for not having me cried all those tears many of days for nothing but to strengthen me to see MY BLOOD FAMILY REUNITING.

Healing is happening here and I am grateful. My PolishedPeople your tears won't be in vain, your pain won't last forever and forgiveness is for you not the other person. If I didn't drop the dead weight of the past I was carrying I wouldn't have been able to share these moments with my son.
