46 Days & Counting...

I promise I meant to go back to work after my week long vacation but it felt like quicksand was holding one of my legs a little longer. If you're wondering what the title means it stands for the 46 days, I have been fully employed by my own business, ThePolishedLady LLC. Also, I've learned a few new things about my hustle and who I am as a person. I'll share in a sec but I just watched #Creed3 the movie and it reminded me about the role entrepreneur and why I stepped up to the role in the first place.

The underdog is the underdog because no one sees them coming. The Underdog is most often neglected and unfavorable to most audiences. But the advantages of an underdog is that they have the faith to believe in themselves more than anyone else can at all stages in time.

Now, that's out of my system: The first three things I hate about being a full time entrepreneur. There's no stability here and you can be in four hundred meetings and not see on check cleared til the four hundred fifth meeting. You have all this time on your hands but if you don't schedule right and make senses of the seconds and minutes; you will be stressed out and behind on bills. As most of you know, the only thing stable in life is a bill coming around on the first of the month. Lastly, You will get a lot of people either telling you how to do your business and/or a lot of people telling you you're wasting your time. If you wanted a boss, you would still be at a 9-5 and even if you had this so-called 9-5 you could be wasting your time by not fulfilling your purpose in life.

My purpose and mission on this earth is to spread love and light on the African American community through positive awareness via media and storytelling. So, Within the 46 days I've had time to rest, to seek resources and pursue my purpose. I've solely been focused on chasing my dreams. I love that for me and I see the abundance in doing so. I've spent more time with my father, son, family and loved ones then I ever have if I was constricted to a schedule. I found out that I am much more than just a talker, I am a #MakeIshHappen kind of lady as my #CreateConnectCollab sisters would like to put it. More and more opportunities are coming my way and while I am grateful for them I am also mindful of what I don't want to be is a workaholic who doesn't have time to live.

Thankful as always for what once was but excited for what is becoming ...
