2024 ESSENCE Hollywood House took place March 8th & Here's what you missed...

On March 8th, Essence hosted their fifth annual Hollywood House event in Los Angeles, California. The event creates opportunity to bridge the gap between emerging and established Black and Brown creatives in film and television industries. former editor of ESSENCE and author, Taylor held a fireside chat with Tony & Academy Award nominated Actress,Da'vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers). There were fireside chats focused around costume design, what it means to be Black on Screen & to be the Fresh Faces of Black Hollywood. Celebrities such as Courtney Burrell (Tyler Perry's A Family Funeral), Da'Vinci ( STARZ BMF), Erika Bryant (Showrunner, Secrets & Sisterhood: The Sozahdahs) and many more were in attendance.

Stephanie Duncan (Vice president of Branded Content & Video, ESSENCE Ventures) lead a compelling conversation with Diarra Kilpatrick of (Bet's Diarra from Detroit) series that is set to release on March 21st. DomiNque Perry (Actress, Insecure) and Claudia Logan ( Actress, The Equalizer) who are also featured actresses on (Bet's Diarra from Detroit) were also on stage discussing what's to come from the show.
